Dante earned his Bachelor of Engineering with a focus on Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has been tutoring students since high school, throughout college, and into his professional career. Alongside tutoring, Dante currently works as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Nuclear Analyst for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL).

Dante's passion for tutoring stems from his genuine love for learning. Once he masters a topic, he eagerly shares his knowledge, finding joy in witnessing the moments when students grasp challenging concepts and gain confidence. Additionally, Dante’s tutoring is centered on the belief that any progress is valuable and worth celebrating, no matter how incremental. He emphasizes the importance of reflecting on past achievements to appreciate the progress made and to inspire further growth.

Some of Dante’s greatest strengths as a tutor include his ability to read students’ emotions, allowing him to identify when a problem is particularly challenging for them, even if they don’t express it directly. He is also attentive to the importance of breaks, recognizing when students need a moment to step away from the material. Allowing students a few extra minutes to focus on something else and discuss their day can significantly aid in problem-solving. Additionally, Dante knows when it’s best to call it a day, understanding that a good night’s sleep can help the brain process and synthesize the information learned. He believes that this rest is crucial for returning to the material with a refreshed and more effective approach.

In his free time, Dante enjoys playing board games and video games, doing karaoke, playing instruments, writing music, acting, and singing. In fact, he’s writing his own musical that has already been performed by some talented actors, and he hopes to have it produced one day!

Jade holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Religion from Boston University. While there, she earned a scholarship to study in Cambodia and Vietnam, received the President’s Volunteer Service Award, won four academic awards, achieved high honors, and secured a U.S. government scholarship for teaching English abroad. With 12 years of tutoring experience, Jade volunteered as an English teacher for immigrants, served as a professional tutor mentor, and was a teaching assistant in Vietnam through a Fulbright scholarship. Despite facing obstacles from a limited educational background, Jade's success story is a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and education. These challenges fueled her determination to create a positive impact in the lives of students facing similar struggles.

As a tutor, Jade’s mission is to offer the same unwavering support and encouragement that proved instrumental in her own journey. She specializes in SAT and ACT tutoring, with an emphasis on the English, Reading, and Writing sections, as well as English, history, sociology, and anthropology courses at all levels, including AP and IB.

In her free time, Jade enjoys collecting passport stamps, gardening, ballet, paddle boarding, and practicing chado (a traditional Japanese tea ceremony). She immerses herself in art, explores the realms of literature, and treasures the beauty of learning languages. On a rainy day, you’ll find her cozily curled up with a book and a tea latte.

Carlos completed his undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degrees from Florida International University. Carlos’ tutoring journey began with a passion for sharing knowledge and making a positive impact on students’ lives. From the moment he started tutoring and witnessed students’ growth in confidence and improved grades, he knew tutoring was one of his callings! Since then, he has been tutoring for over three years and has helped dozens of students, both nationally and internationally, reach their academic goals. Carlos has also helped countless undergraduate students develop their research projects and navigate the world of scientific academia. 

Carlos perceives tutoring as an invaluable opportunity to effect tangible change in students' lives. Outside of tutoring, Carlos is deeply passionate about ecology and several hobbies: painting allows him to express his creativity, hiking allows him to rejuvenate, and listening to albums from start to finish allows him to appreciate music to its fullest. Adding an extra layer of joy to these pursuits is the companionship of his beloved dog. Carlos also bravely confronts his deepest fears every day: snakes and flying. His commute to work involves traveling by airboat and helicopter.
