James Kim

James is an academic tutor who is passionate about guiding students through high school and college admissions to achieve academic success.

As a student at Brown University, James honed his academic skills and extracurricular talents, graduating with a Bachelor's degree. His persistence and academic achievements paved the way for him to gain admission to several of the nation's top universities, including Northwestern University, Vanderbilt University, Rice University, Williams College, Amherst College, and Pomona College.

Throughout his academic career, James earned numerous accolades and honors, including being named a Coca-Cola Scholar Semifinalist, a recognition of his academic excellence and leadership potential. Currently, James is pursuing his Juris Doctor degree at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, further cementing his academic pursuits.

With several years of experience as an academic tutor at Brown University, James has accumulated thousands of hours tutoring test prep, helping students ace standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, SSAT, and ISEE. He specializes in tutoring math, focusing on Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II. James' perfect scores on the math sections of the SAT, ACT, and SAT Math Level II, along with his 99th percentile scores on the SAT and ACT, demonstrate his expertise in helping students excel in every aspect of each test.

Beyond his academic prowess, James is an accomplished musician, having been named an All-National Orchestra First Violinist and CT All-State Associate Concertmaster.
